The Prairie Dogs 60s AAA became a team in 2023. Many of the players played on the RECO 60s in 2022, but the RECO 60s became the RECO 65s, thus leaving the younger players looking for a new team. The coaches, Tom Holder, Mark Opfer, and Dave Sanderson secured an anonymous sponsor and formed the Prairie Dogs. The team consists of many NSS league members, five from Topeka, KS, and two from Fullerton, NE.
The Dogs had a rough season start and asked to be downgraded to AA, which was granted. The team finished the 2023 season strong and look forward to a better 2024 season.
