Import Team Schedule

Overview

There is a “Download Calendar File ” option on the games page at the team level. This (not so simple) process will let you input your team’s entire schedule in one fell swoop.

Some important notes:

1. This feature is intended for people who like to put every game in their personal calendar and are comfortable working with application settings.
2. Questions and comments can be left at the bottom of this page.

There are two major steps to automatically import your team’s game schedule into your personal calendar.

Step 1: Download a calendar file from the NSS website

1. Go to the games page.
2. Select your team from the dropdown, click “Go”.
3. Press the “Download Calendar File” button.

The download file will be named using this format: <season>_NSS_<team name>.ics For example, if you were downloading the “2021 Summer – Rays” calendar the downloaded file will be named 2021S_NSS_Rays.ics

Step 2: Import the NSS calendar file into your calendar

Here are the some import procedures for the more common calendar types:

• Apple Calendar

Google Calendar

1: Click on settings

2: Create a new calendar

If this calendar was for Summer of 2021 and you play for the Cardinals, suggest naming it similar to the file name: “2021S NSS Cardinals”

3: Click on “Import”

4: Select the <season>_NSS_<team name>.ics file from your computer.

5: For “Add to calendar”, select the calendar you just created.

6: Click the “Import” button.

7: Google will create a calendar entry for each of your team’s games. If you make a mistake, you can delete the entire calendar and start over again.

Apple Calendar

1: Start the Calendar application and select “File > Import”

2: Select the dowloaded .ics file and click “Import”

3: In the “Add Event” dropdown, select “New Calendar”, then click “Ok”.

4: Calendar will automatically create a calendar name similar to the file name and load all the games for your team.

5: If you import the wrong team, you can delete the entire calendar and start over.
