Late Player Registration
Discussion was held on late league registrations and the need to have a player pay by the registration deadline. Several players attempted to register after the deadline but were denied entry. The late players will be allowed to register for the Fall season.

NSS Annual League Summer BBQ
The 2019 Summer BBQ will held on Monday, July 29 from 6:00 to 10:00 PM at Elmwood Park. This event is used for Board member elections and there will be no cost for players.
Rules
The NSS rulebook is in need of an overhaul in organization and clarification. The rulebook has changed over the years and has become disjoint. Several past and present league managers will be asked to form a committee to coordinate the rewrite with a goal to make the rules consistent and concise. The revised rulebook would be vetted and voted in by the Board.
Rule Question 1 – Replacement players during a game
– Can a replacement player be used for another player for an in-game injury or other absence?
– Can a like-for-like substitute be used for a replacement player during a game?
The Board discussed the questions and determined: “…a like-for-like substitution can be made at any time during a game, so long as it is reported to the opposing manager at the time of the occurrence. The replacement player will assume the same position in the batting order and may play any position defensively.”
Rule Question 2 – If no legal replacement players are available, can a team play with nine players?
The Board determined that a team could play with nine players in that situation.
Rainout Notifications
Rainouts will continue to be publicized through league emails and website postings. However, the individual players are ultimately responsible for using the Rainout number 402-697-7756 for La Vista field availability determined before 3:00 on game day. For game cancellations determined after 3:00 PM, Managers will notify their players, as needed.
